Where have I heard this before?

If you are listening to radio these days, you often realize that the song playing on the radio has been previously played in some variant. Producers often call this cannibalization a cover or a sample. Many listeners believe this is done because new music has lost all orginiality.

That may be the case, but I believe covering and sampling provides an immediate nostalgic impact on older listeners while attracting a new audience. It's a win-win situation for all.

This site is a correlation exploration of music, past, present, and future.
